*Product Fact: Chrome wood screws are available in either plated Brass or plated Steel. Historically, (Pre-1960’s) steel plated screws were often selected for use in hardwood & masonry applications, due to their tensile strength, whereas brass screws, being slightly more flexible are well suited for softwood applications, although this is a matter of personal choice.
